A Great Day!

Today was a great day! It started out wonderful and just got better and better. For those of you who don't know, Ben works Saturdays. All Saturdays, from 8:30am to 7:00pm. So that means, he gets a 'Saturday' during the week. For the month of February, Wednesdays are his Saturdays. The day began with Cynthia, who has been very sick, sleeping in. That means mom and dad got to sleep in as well! At about 9:45, the door bell rang and I kicked Ben out of bed to answer the door. It was UPS delivery a pay cheque for all the sick days that Ben never took. It was a great cheque. That meant we got to buy Cynthia her new car seat. After chatting about things that we needed, like her seat, Ben surprised me by giving me a long over due back rub. It was wonderful. I made pancakes for breakfast at lunch time. That is when Cynthia woke up as well. Cynthia woke up on the good side of the crib today. She has been super sick for the last 10 days or so, when she woke up today, she was smiling a giggles. My little girl was back! Then we were off.

We went to Walmart to look at what seats they have there, nothing great but one options. Off to Babies R Us, score! We got a cute little chair there at a deal of a price. They were also having a sale. It was like a sale on EVERYTHING! 30% off marked price. So some items were already discounted. Love those sales. So we got her a new pair of shoes - over due - a cute little skirt for the summer and Ben found some really cute capri's. We also got a cute little shirt for Liesl's little girl that is due in May!

This chair is similar to the one that we got Cynthia. She never liked it at first, but by the end of the day she was a little happier and never cried when we put her in it.

These are her new summer clothing. Are they not just the cutest?

Then we went to visit Grandma Cindy at work, but sadly we just missed her. So we left her some Valentines cookies. We went passed the library and picked up some DVD's. Our final stop for the day was to Williams Sonoma. Since I don't have any one that needs a fancy cake, I have put my cake decorating talent on hold and figured I would learn how to make homemade pasta. I wanted to get a fluted pastry wheel, but Walmart and Smiths don't carry any. That is why we needed to go to a kitchen specialty store.

This is what my pastry wheel looks like.

Today we a great day shopping and being with my family! I loved every moment of it! Can't wait until next 'Saturday!'
