Cynthia's Day

Last Wednesday we took Cynthia to the park so that she could have a fun time with Mom, Dad and Oupa. All we did was follow the little Princess around. She made some friends. It was nice to see her have some fun.

Playing the the play house.

Learning what sand tastes like. I don't she liked it very much. But she did have fun playing in it.

A Visit With Layne

Last week Layne came up from Provo. Cynthia really loves spending time with him. He taught her all about how American Idol works. And she listen closely - check it out!

So cute together!

Friday Night Fun

Last Friday we went over to Scott and Teri Forsyth's house for a BBQ. It was a great time to finally meet many people I have only heard of.

Ken and Garth Forsyth (brothers)

Ken, Garth and Cynthia. Cynthia really enjoyed her time on Great-Grandfathers lap. She got to share is watermelon and cake with him. She was such a lucky girl!

Ken, Cynthia, Garth and Ben. Ben really had a good time being able to see his Grandfather again.

Downstairs was were all the kids hung out. Cynthia made friends with another little one (sorry but I can't remember his name). She even shared her little new toy with him. Cynthia made friends with Jenny. She would climb on her lap where ever Jenny went.

Thanks Teri for inviting us. It is nice to connect with family.

Wheeler Touch Farm

Since today was such a nice day we decided to go to the touch farm. Cynthia had so much fun! She loved all (well most) of the animals. There were just one or two that she was not a fan of. Like the turkey. Don't worry princess, I agree with you there.

We started out at the horses. Cynthia wanted to feed them and touch them. I was worried that they would try and eat her, but they were very good. She still has all ten fingers.

We stole some of the food that was in their feed bucket and gave it to Cynthia to feed the horse with. She fed it a few times. It was cute!

Next we went over to the cows, but none of them would come and play, so we moved to the mule/donkey area. Cynthia would not go near them unless we were at her height. Then she was having fun!

Along the way to see the sheep, we met some pigs and ducks. Sadly the pigs just snorted at us and the ducks ran away. The sheep wanted to play. Cynthia kept trying to touch it and the second on the cage kept trying to eat the diaper bag.

Cynthia really enjoyed the goats.

Here is one bird that I don't want to meet in a dark ally one night. He means business.

Cynthia enjoyed pointing at them from a safe distance.

Playing on the Tracker. She was a lot more comfortable with the animals than she was with the big blue monster.

Cynthia and the baby goat. She loved to try and play with it.

Pointing the momma goat out to Ben. Just in case Dad never saw it!

Another bird that I would not like to see in a dark ally. Cynthia ran away from this cage.

Cynthia really wanted to touch the calves. She enjoyed them so much!

The King of the White Ducks! The feathery crown is funny looking. I don't think that I have ever seen something like this. Today I saw two! One on this white duck and the other on a green duck.

Cynthia was not afraid of the geese. She just walked right past them and never gave them any notice. Such a brave little pumpkin!

We had a great afternoon. Cynthia started to cry when we put her in the car.

15 Month Check Up

Today we took Cynthia for her 15 month check up. The doctor says that she is PERFECT! Yay for my princess! Because Cynthia is not the biggest fan of milk (she prefers juice) the doctor told us that we should put her on a kids multi-vitamin. The doctor is also a little concerned about Cynthia's food allergies, so she referred us to an allergist. That means in the next few months, we will take her to get checked out for that.

Her new stats -
Weight: 21lbs 2oz (25th percentile)
Height: 30 inches (25th percentile)
Head Circumference: 18.01 inches (50th percentile)

Once again she is below average. The doctor is getting a little worried, but as mom, I am not worried. She eats a lot already. So if she is put of a fat diet, I am not sure what we are going to do.

South African Cynthia

The other day Cynthia brought my SA beanie to Oupa and asked him to put it on her. She had so much fun playing in it and we got the cutest little pictures.

This one is my favourite one. I think that it is just picture perfect!

Oupa like this one. Is she not just the cutest little thing that you have ever seen?

Easter Part 2

Sunday was a great sunny and warm day. Layne come up from Provo and we had our little Easter. It was fun but once Cynthia found out how to open the eggs, the game was over.

Layne wanted some eggs, so he asked Cynthia to bring him some. And she was happy to do so.

Cynthia opened the plastic off on the the hollow bunnies and started to eat it right out of the box.

Fun with Oupa

Time seems to fly when you are having fun! From day one, Cynthia has found a friend in her Oupa. Here are some pictures of what they have been up to!

Cynthia reads magazines when Oupa

Cynthia has been teething a bit, so here she is eating an ice-lolly on Oupa's lap.

Oupa fed her lunch a few times.

Look how happy she is!

They play with her toys together.

She sits on his lap.

They play Spider Solitaire together.

A fun time is had all around!

Happy Birthday Layne

April 4 Layne turned 25, but because it was conference weekend and the fact that Dad was arriving on the 14, we decided that we would have Layne's birthday once Dad was here. Then there was not rush to get it all done on his birthday. Yesterday Layne come up from Provo to spend the day. We had an Easter Egg hunt for Cynthia, which all ended once she realized how to open the eggs and get the chocolate out of them, the we had Layne cut his cake. It was a fun day. Below is a picture of Layne's cake.

Bar Tender Madness

While my dad was in Holland, he decided to try his luck at bar tending. For someone who has never done it before, I think that he did very well.

Welcome Oupa!

Tonight we went and picked my Dad up from the airport. Cynthia had no problem cuddling down and making friends from the word go. Look at how comfortable she is! We are lucky to have Oupa stay with us for the next 10 days! Time for some fun and adventure!

Lip Smackin Good

For dinner last night we had spaghetti. Cynthia loves her pasta, so she was excited. She kept smacking her lips. It was so cute!

Classics

This weekend they have been playing the good old classics on TV - the wonderful movies that I grew up with. Though I never remember them being so long! Last night we wanted The Sound of Music and today they had Marry Poppins on. Some of the other movies that they have been playing are: Willy Wonker and the Chocolate Factory and Chitty-Chitty, Bang-Bang, I can't remember the names of the other movies. We are teaching Cynthia while she is young to enjoy the good old classics.

Ben was watching Mary Poppins and Cynthia climbed on the couch next time with her snacks and started watching as well. She loves the old movies as well - actually she loves the music, she is going to be a great dancer once she has figured out how to balance 100%.

Pictures!

Since Cynthia looked so cute today and the weather was perfect, we went outside to play. Here are some super cute pictures of my precious little bundle of joy!

There is a large rock that stands about 6 feet outside out apartment complex. Ben lifted Cynthia to the top of it and I got some cute pictures of her looking over. That is really a happy face. I know the smile looks like she is not sure of what is happening but she is super happy.

Cynthia is not sure about grass. She will walk in it, but if she falls down she sits and complains about it. The she lifts her hands to make us pick her back up. Here she is investigating the green stuff.

She started picking flowers and giving them to Ben.

She brought me a flower and started playing 'he loves me, he loves me not.'
