Bar Tender Madness

While my dad was in Holland, he decided to try his luck at bar tending. For someone who has never done it before, I think that he did very well.

Welcome Oupa!

Tonight we went and picked my Dad up from the airport. Cynthia had no problem cuddling down and making friends from the word go. Look at how comfortable she is! We are lucky to have Oupa stay with us for the next 10 days! Time for some fun and adventure!

Lip Smackin Good

For dinner last night we had spaghetti. Cynthia loves her pasta, so she was excited. She kept smacking her lips. It was so cute!

Classics

This weekend they have been playing the good old classics on TV - the wonderful movies that I grew up with. Though I never remember them being so long! Last night we wanted The Sound of Music and today they had Marry Poppins on. Some of the other movies that they have been playing are: Willy Wonker and the Chocolate Factory and Chitty-Chitty, Bang-Bang, I can't remember the names of the other movies. We are teaching Cynthia while she is young to enjoy the good old classics.

Ben was watching Mary Poppins and Cynthia climbed on the couch next time with her snacks and started watching as well. She loves the old movies as well - actually she loves the music, she is going to be a great dancer once she has figured out how to balance 100%.

Pictures!

Since Cynthia looked so cute today and the weather was perfect, we went outside to play. Here are some super cute pictures of my precious little bundle of joy!

There is a large rock that stands about 6 feet outside out apartment complex. Ben lifted Cynthia to the top of it and I got some cute pictures of her looking over. That is really a happy face. I know the smile looks like she is not sure of what is happening but she is super happy.

Cynthia is not sure about grass. She will walk in it, but if she falls down she sits and complains about it. The she lifts her hands to make us pick her back up. Here she is investigating the green stuff.

She started picking flowers and giving them to Ben.

She brought me a flower and started playing 'he loves me, he loves me not.'

Easter Part 1

LOVE Easter! I think that it might just be because of the chocolates and sweets that we get around the time. I know that is not a good reason to love a holiday. Being from South Africa, we don't celebrate holidays like the Americans do. The only time that we get fun chocolates and sweets in the store is around Easter. To add to the fun chocolates, my parents would buy so much Easter things, that we would be eating chocolate for weeks. Since my Dad arrives on Tuesday, I decided to move Easter to Wednesday so that he might be able to celebrate it with us. But I could not resisted having some sort of Easter today. I got a few eggs and 'hide' them around the living room. I got the metallic ones so that Cynthia will be more drawn to them. Then I gave her a little pink basket and she was off. She kept forgetting that the bag was for the eggs she found. So she would drop the bag. Ben would remind her so then she would put the eggs in the bag, carry the bag to the next egg and forget about it. But it was so much fun.

Cynthia in her Easter outfit. I bought her the dress weeks ago, but the weather has not been very good on Sunday's when I want to put her in it. Today was perfect. Her little bangle says Cynthia on it, she has a purple alice-band in her hair, and the cutest little purple shoes. Everyone at church could not believe how cute she was and they all loved her shoes.

Finding eggs

Forgot the bag, love the eggs.

Trying to eat through the foil wrapper and get to the chocolate.

Putting all her eggs in her bag.

She has a sixth sense about chocolate and was so excited to get started on the chocolate 'hunt.' At the end of the video, Cynthia climbs in under the TV - the reason: she squished the egg that was in her hand and it popped open. That is when she realised that there was something inside, and it tasted good!

Raod Trip

Yesterday we decided to take a drive out west to see what it was like. In the near future we are hoping to build a nice house that we can grow into. The only place to build what we want in on the very outskirts of town. There were some nice areas. While driving we found the next Temple that is being built out in Daybreak. Cynthia started to get restless in the car so we had to stop and let her run around. We found a petrol station and popped in. Cynthia went straight for the candy isle. She picked up a bag of Skittles and gave it to Ben, then she turned around and picked up two dark chocolate bars with almonds and gave them to me. She already knows what Dad gets and what the girls get. We ended up getting a drink and some M&M's for the girls.

The new Temple

Cynthia felt the need to eat a M&M bit by bit instead of putting the whole thing in her mouth. She got chocolate all over her mouth, the car seat, her hands and everything they touch. Then promptly fell asleep.

Look at that precious!
