Doctor Visit
Last Friday Cynthia went for her 9 month check up - at 10 months might I add. So we arrive there and wait - like normal. Then we go into a room, take Cynthia's clothes off, and get her weighted. She did not like that. Usually she is very good. But this time she put up a little fuss. Then we went back to the room to get her height measured as well as her head. She was really good getting those done. Then she got to play. She was so happy pushing things around and walking with them. The doctor was like: Wow Super baby. Once again she is 50% for her height, weight and head, but super advanced for her motor and verbal skills. The doctor is also super surprised at how much Cynthia sleeps. She said that at a year we can take her off the bottle. I don't think that we will have to take her off the bottle then, she is doing that herself right now. She only has one bottle a day, and that is before she goes to sleep.
So here are her stats:
Height: 28 in (she has grown 2 inches every doctors visit)
Weight: 19 lbs 14 oz
Head Circumference: 44 cm

I Can Do It!
Cynthia woke up this morning and decided: "Hey, today I am going to surprise my parents and show them that I can drink from a straw!" And that is exactly what happened! She is just so cute.

(This event only)
Hi,
I am writing this letter to inform you that I have recently opened my own health and nutrition business. As you may or may not know, 70% of all doctor visits are due to fatigue and stress, 7 out of 10 people are obese, and lastly heart disease, strokes and cancer are at an all-time high. The American Medical Association has stated that 75% of all of these issues are diet related. So I have made it my mission to: 1) start supplementing my diet; and 2) to help educate as many people as possible about these issues.
The products that I represent are made by Herbalife International, which is the world’s largest weight loss, health and nutrition company. Herbalife has been in business for 28 years, on the New York Stock Exchange (HLF), is currently in 69 countries, and millions and millions of people consume the products every single day. We have the top scientists from around the world on staff, one of them being a Nobel Prize laureate, Dr. Lou Ignarro (author of NO More Heart Disease).
All my life I have had headaches and no one could tell me why. I started using Herbalife products a few months ago and I have just been thrilled with the results. I have had an increase in energy and I was able to drop a few dress sizes. The best part of it, for me, is that I don’t have headaches anymore.
I’m really excited about my new business and I would like to ask for your help in getting the word out. I’m having a grand opening celebration where we’ll have lots of free samples, and a lot of fun. So if you could please come and bring other people with you that may need to lose weight, bulk up, need more energy or better health – I’d really appreciate it.
My grand opening is on Wednesday, 19 November 2008, at 6:30pm. Please RSVP to me at 801-290-2521 or ames.bc@gmail.com by Tuesday, 18 November 2008, with the number of people you’re bringing with you.

Two Words... Finger Foods
The clean up - check out that face.
Cynthia will not eat her mixed veggies. She will eat them separate, but not together. She has an open bottle of mixed summer veggies in the fridge, so I tried to see if maybe today she will eat them - you can only hope right? Sadly she would not. She would not even eat it off my finger - which is rear since she eats anything that is on mom or dad's finger. Once she had finished eating the big pieces of broccoli there were many smaller ones left that she would not pick up and eat, so I got out some Puffs and made broccoli sandwich's. I got two Puffs and put some broccoli between the puffs - she ate it. So I decided to see what she would do if I got a cracker and dipped it in her mixed veggies. SUCCESS! She ate her mixed veggies. She would open her mouth wide and gobble them down! I am a winner!

Trunk or Treat
Our ward had a Trunk or Treat of Halloween. We decided to take Cynthia. She went as a witch. She is the cutest witch that was there. There were many mom's and grandmother's that were like "That is the cutest outfit ever!" Or that had to take a picture of Cynthia in her outfit. She stole the show! Our neighbours that have no kids were there and they brought some friends that had two kids. So we hang out with them. The little boy was 9 months - same as Cynthia. Though he is HUGE! He is in the 95th percentile for everything. Ben said that he should have gone as a broom, since he carried the little good witch around all night.
Cynthia carried her trick or treat bag the whole night. Even when people filled it with sweets. Everyone was amazed at her strength. Like father I guess. She also would stick her hand in her bag, pull out some candy and drop it on the ground. Until she pulled out the Rice Crispy Treat, then out came the Binky and in went the blue wrapper.
Here is Cynthia making friends. It is just the cutest. Dad's are chatting away and so are the kids! Social Butterfly here we come!

I Can Stand
Cynthia can now stand for long periods of time... As long as she is focused on something. She also took her 'first step' today. She was surfing along the coffee table and wanted to get to the couch that I was on. The table and couch were touching each other and Cynthia decided to cut a the corner. It was only 1 step, but it was great to see her do it!

Who Needs Toys... I Got Mom's Pots!
Cynthia love playing with the pots. Here is a video of her pushing/pulling one around the kitchen. This is classic Cynthia. If you notice, she randomly picks things up while she crawls. Also, notice her crawl. It is just the funniest/cutest crawl. She can crawl normally, but chooses not to. Ben's theory about her crawl is that Cynthia thinks she is going faster. She is a daring though.
