Layne's Birthday Cake

Layne's birthday cake. The top layer was pineapple, the middle layer was red velvet and the bottom layer was French vanilla.

The middle was hollow and we had rigged a Barbie to put out the top.

What the cake looked like once the Barbie had jumped

Layne and Cyndi blowing out candles (Layne never wanted candles so we just put a couple on) and the Barbie jumping. It was a cute classic cake!

Easter Part 2

Sunday was a crazy day. It was Easter as well as Layne's birthday. She had a very busy day. Cyndi woke up to find an Easter basket on the balcony. She had to have breakfast before she could get what was outside. After breakfast I put out the funny prints leading to the balcony.

The Easter Picnic outside. In her pink basket was an elephant with jelly beans and a hollow bunny. And yes that is snow on the ground.

Bunny prints leading to the balcony.

Cyndi felt the need to pick them all up.

Exploring the basket outside.

After getting what was outside and bring each bunny inside - one at a time - Cyndi handed out hollow bunnies to all that was there and jelly beans to Ben.

The hollow bunny she got.

Once everyone had there bunny we listen to conference while I made boeuf bourguignon. After conference and while the bourguignon was still cooking we had Layne's birthday cake and an Easter egg hunt with Cyndi. She was so cute. She would pick up an egg empty it into her bag and then put the egg back. I feel sorry for the kids who go Easter egg hunting with her in the future.

Finding the Easter eggs that were all over the house when she work up from her nap.

After the Easter egg hunt we put Cyndi down for a nap and had lunch/dinner and listen to the final session of conference. After conference all visitors left. It was crazy!

Easter Part 1

We went to an Easter Egg Hunt at the Hollywood Connection the Saturday before Easter Sunday. It was an interesting experience. One that we probably will not be going to again. There were clowns and magicians making balloon creatures. We got a flower from the clown and a butterfly from the magician. The magician was the best. The clowns did simply little things, the magician went above and beyond. He made dragons, dinosaurs, dragon-flies, fishes, hats, guns, crowns, lady bugs and much much more! The egg hunt was over before we even got there - bad planning on their part. But we got a goodie bag.

Me, Cyndi and the clown - not a happy friendly clown!

Cyndi and Ben. Cyndi is not happy about the people dressed up like the Easter Bunny, a dragon and another creature. She got upset if we got close and would pull funny faces when she saw one of them.

She loved the carousel and did not want to get off. Once it stopped, she held on for dear life while I tried to take her down. Then she kept running back the ride while we were getting out of the area.

At Jane's Grandpa gave Cyndi rides on his back. She loved it!

That was Saturday in a nut shell!

Random

Just two random pictures from the month of March.

The sunset one evening from out balcony.

Ben sat down to take his boots off one day after arriving home from work. Before he could get to his boots Mischief cuddled down. Thats is Ben tired from work, not annoyed at the kitty.

Cake Decorating Course 2 Final Cake

Everything edible! It was a triple fudge chocolate cake with a chocolate mouse filling and vanilla butter-cream icing. One word: HEAVEN!

I Want To Ride My Bicycle

Learning to ride our new bike!

We still need to work on that a bit!

You can call me Princess

We went down the factory outlet mall in Draper a few weeks ago. There was an Oshkosh store that had some super great deals going. We got a skirt, jeans, a top and sun glasses there. Then we moved on to a different store and found a super cute button up shirt that I could not leave behind since I have been looking for a top like for Cyndi for a long time now.

Ready for church. New skirt, cute button up, adorable sunglasses. Priceless!

Drinking Water

A few weeks ago, Cyndi was playing with some water in a cup and started to feed her toy lion with a spoon. It was so cute. But when I got the camera out to video, this is what I got instead of the cute lion being spoon feed.
